This photo makes me extremely happy. A pair of iconic Ford GT40s, seen on pit lane for the 1967 12 Hours of Sebring, with the updated No. 2 Mk IIB driven by A.J. Foyt and Lloyd Ruby in front of the yellow No. 1 Mk IV piloted by Mario Andretti and Bruce McLaren.
The cars went on to finish 1-2 with the No. 1 leading home the No. 2…and then headed to the 24 Hours of Le Mans where Foyt and Dan Gurney scored Ford’s second consecutive victory for the brand.
